Garrett Todd, Youth/ Family/ Associate Minister

The city of Camden is blessed with a large pool of youth who seek the Lord. As the church at Camden we strive to help the youth find Him. We focus most at training our own youth to learning His will and becoming a brighter light and reflection of His image.
The church has seen the need in having a minister whose focus is maintained on our younger members and have hired my Wife, Megan, and I with the challenge of helping maintain and see to the unique needs of this group.
As a church we engage our youth with a multitude of events, activities, learning opportunities, and service opportunities. We heavily welcome and encourage an environment in which young visitors and friends can feel comfortable.
The Classroom (7th grade +) on Wednesdays is very much focused as a heavily engaged class open to visitors that strives to reach the interests of this younger generation. We use technology, open discussion, Bible reading, as well as welcome questions. We seek to establish truth and understanding.
The Classroom on Sunday Mornings is much more a traditional approach to Bible study in which we survey the scripture, break down the meaning, make observations, make conclusions, and leave with understanding of His will.
Our Larger Scope in Yearly Outreach/ Training:
We participate in the Lads to Leaders/ Leaderettes Program through the Nashville Conference
We host a Vacation Bible School
We participate in Summer Youth Series hosted on Mondays by area churches
We will begin participating in Challenge Youth Conference
We Pick Up and Feed Teens on Wednesdays before Bible classes through-out the School Year
We Participate in West Tennessee Work Camp (teens painting houses for needy)
We host Hangouts and Devotionals Monthly
We Offer Bible Classes for proper age groups on Sundays and Wednesdays
We Use our Baptized Youth in our worship as well as in roles of responsibility
We also have many members as well as Megan and I active in the school systems
We create monthly calendar activities
We strive to involve the ENTIRE church in the Mission for Youth
